Associate attorney, Kayla Hathaway, of Rice and Rose Law Firm in Daytona Beach has been selected to serve as general counsel on the executive committee of the Daytona Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Associate Attorney Kayla Hathaway and attorney Jim Rose of Rice and Rose Law Firm in Daytona Beach attended the annual Daytona Beach Chamber of Commerce Awards Luncheon.

Rice & Rose Law Firm has partnered with NSB Caps once again as a Gold Sponsor for their 18th Annual Spaghetti Dinner. The event is held at New Smyrna Beach High School and raises money for the NSB Caps program.

The Ormond Beach Family YMCA together with Stewart-Marchman-Act Behavioral Center raised over $50,000.00 thanks to the charity of Ryan Lochte, Charlie Lydecker and so many others at the Rematch After Rio held on September 28, 2016.

August is National Make-a-Will Month. As noted by Carole Fleck, writer for AARP, sixty-four percent of all people in this country do not have a will. In Florida, if an individual passes away without a will their property will pass according to a certain set of statutes. This is often referred to as “intestacy.”

Matthew Shapiro has been elected as the Volusia County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division President. Matt graduated from Florida State University and Florida International University College of Law. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2011.

The parties, who are both Jewish, divorced in 2011. In 2015, the former husband moved to hold his ex in contempt for enrolling their children in an Orthodox Jewish aftercare program in violation of their shared parenting agreement, which required the parties to share in making such major decisions.
